HD CAUSDET is suited to heavy-duty foam cleaning applications throughout food and beverage production environments, including:
For HACCP-controlled operations, the cleaning process should identify the area or equipment being cleaned, cleaning frequency, chemical used, dilution, method and monitoring arrangements.
Effective cleaning is an important part of food safety management. A suitable cleaning programme should control food residues, contamination risks and chemical residues while providing documented evidence that cleaning procedures are being followed.
HD CAUSDET can form part of a HACCP-based cleaning and sanitation procedure, subject to your site's hazard analysis, equipment materials, validated cleaning method and chemical manufacturer's instructions.
A typical wet-cleaning process may include:
Cleaning should take place before sanitisation because detergents remove soils and residues that can interfere with subsequent sanitation.
HD CAUSDET is not suitable for soft metals.
Before use, assess the compatibility of the detergent with the materials used in your plant and equipment. Always follow the manufacturer's technical and safety documentation and carry out appropriate compatibility checks where necessary.
Heavy food-production soils can include fats, proteins, cooking residues and baked-on or carbonised material. Alkaline detergents are particularly useful for removing heavy organic contamination, with cleaning strength influenced by alkalinity.
Foam application can also help provide controlled coverage of suitable surfaces during manual or semi-automated cleaning operations.

It can be incorporated into a site's documented cleaning programme, subject to your own HACCP assessment, chemical approval procedures, equipment compatibility and the manufacturer's instructions. Cleaning chemicals should be properly controlled to prevent chemical contamination of food or food-contact equipment.
